2023 marks the 200th Anniversary of Walker County. Founded on December 26th, 1823, the county was formed and named after Senator John Walker. The booming coal and timber industries provided stable work by the end of the 19th century. New railroad lines were constructed shortly after that and the area grew. Since that time, families have come to call the area home and supported the community.

1847 Walker Revolver Made by Uberti
This is an Italian-made replica of the revolving-cylinder pistol originally designed by Samuel Colt. It is a single-action, .44 caliber black powder revolver with a 9” barrel. The revolver has a distinct loading lever and loading lever latch near the muzzle. On the cylinder, you also see the loading cutouts for easy and securing seating of percussion caps.
